It's
time to express your creativity!
The project is due at the end of the semester on the last day of classes. Typically,
they are not returned unless you would truly like to have it back for posterity
.... The goal is to think deeply about the mathematics that we are doing and
to find the art and beauty in hidden within it. With your project, you should
choose an aspect of the mathematics that we have done and express its beauty
through art!! QUALIFYING ART FORMS ARE: Sculpture (in any medium
including clay, metal, wood, polymers, etc.), painting, drawing, poetry, creative
writing, culinary arts (must involve chocolate in deference to the instructor!),
photography, music composition, interpretive dance, and any combination thereof.
Grades will be assigned based on the level of thought perceived to have gone
into the project and certainly not on the quality of the art as I am not one
to talk! Most of all ... It should be thought provoking fun!!!!!
